When Ben Satterlee received his custom Radius snare drum ahead of his European tour, the goal was simple: build something compact that could project warmth and character in an acoustic festival setting.
What surprised us? Ben turned around and said:
“We should make more of these.”
This snare wasn’t just a tool—it became a statement. And now, for the first time, a small run is being made available to the public.
The “prototype” was on Ben’s European tour with Larkin Poe.
Now, a limited number will be released to the public.
Only 10 will be made.

Each of these hand-crafted stave drums are built with the stunning blend of maple (attack) and mahogany (warmth) combining to make a snare that is compact in size but, sonically huge!
Featuring all chrome hardware: single point lugs, classic piccolo style throw-off, 2.3 triple flange hoops, and 3 air vents. And don’t forget the 20 strand snare wire to make this thing snap!
Each shell will have a bearing edge configuration of 1/4″ round-over on the outside and a 45° inside along with hand carved snare beds.
Ben has been a long time Aquarian endorser, so these snares will come standard with Aquarian Classics on top and bottom.

Drums will sent out in the number order they were received, 1-10.
You can expect a 4-6 week lead time for delivery as each drum is being built in real time. We appreciate your patience as we perfect your new snare drum.
